RABBIT FOOD & DIET

A complete guide to caring for your rabbit through proper nutrition and mindful feeding habits.

Hamsters are herbivores, which means they eat only plant material.

Rabbit Diet

Adorable Brown Rabbit

The bulk of a Rabbits diet should be given to them in the form of grass hay as it reduces the danger of hairballs and other blockages and helps grind down their growing teeth. Hay should always be avaliable to a rabbit.

A Rabbits dietmust meet the following requirements:

  • 85% high quality grass hay

  • 10% leafy green vegetables and herbs

  • 5% pellets

Pellets are a good way to provide a rabbit with concentrated nutrition.

See a list of the safe vegetables you can give your rabbit below

FEEDING SCHEDULE

Hay should be avaliable to your rabbit at all times during the day/night

Fresh leafy vegetables should also be given everyday for added nutrition.

Approximately 15-20g of pellets per day but this can vary between rabbits.

Fresh water must be available at all times. .
